Flood : A cause of loss that arises from water overflowing its banks or gathering on the surface of a property. In certain forms, it may be broadened or may overlap with what is included in "Broad Form Water" coverages. Coverage may be obtained directly from an insurance company, but more typically from NFIP (also see).
