Hired Auto (Also See Non-Owned Auto) : A vehicle rented by the insured for the insured’s own use. Special coverages are required to protect both the driver and the vehicle and are usually grouped to form Hired and NonOwned Auto Liability. This coverage is excess of the primary vehicle coverage.
